Post Nº10: English Language Challenges

These are just some of the relevant things I did throughout my whole journey in learning, and later mastering the English language. You can increase your English vocabulary by thinking in English, practicing with a native speaker, reading newspapers, books, magazines, writing a diary/journal in English, using flashcards or apps with vocabulary on them, watching movies and TV shows and keeping a vocabulary book to help you remember the harder words, among many other ways. As with other skills, the only way to gain confidence in speaking English is to keep practicing. English is a difficult language to master and grammar is hard to master and even for native speakers, some grammatical points are debated often. As long as you can get the message across, that's the most important thing. Post Nº9: Changes to my Study Programme/Work Field

The Chilean educational system is falling apart, and it is really difficult to decide a place where to start to make changes. This is why on this post I’ve decided to talk about 3 three changes I would do to our educational system, taking as an example of success the Finnish educational model. Firstly, unlike in our country, all schools in Finland are funded by the government. This means the quality of education a child receives is not dependent on their parents’ income. While the richest parents in Chile can afford to pay large amounts of money charged by the best schools in the country, all children in Finland are welcomed at high-quality schools where children’s needs are nurtured. This creates an equal society where all children are given equal opportunities from the beginning of their lives.
