Post Nº10: English Language Challenges
These are just some of the relevant things I did
throughout my whole journey in learning, and later mastering the English
language. You can increase your English vocabulary by thinking in English,
practicing with a native speaker, reading newspapers, books, magazines, writing
a diary/journal in English, using flashcards or apps with vocabulary on them,
watching movies and TV shows and keeping a vocabulary book to help you remember
the harder words, among many other ways. As with other skills, the only way to
gain confidence in speaking English is to keep practicing. English is a difficult
language to master and grammar is hard to master and even for native speakers,
some grammatical points are debated often. As long as you can get the message
across, that's the most important thing.
Firstly, stay motivated. When learning any new
language, it is important to stay motivated and never give up on your goal of
fluency. Secondly, stay committed to your language-learning goal by reminding
yourself of how badly you want to achieve it. Think of all of the amazing
experiences and opportunities that will be available to you once you've
mastered the English language. Thirdly, practice every day. If you
want to gain fluency quickly, you need to commit to practicing every day.
You should never pass up an opportunity to speak English, as this is the
most important thing you can do to gain fluency. As a result, your spoken and
written English will flow much more naturally and fluently if you can just
train your brain to think in English. Think of it as a switch, when it's time to
communicate in English, you need to turn your English brain on and your mother
language brain off.
What do you think? Did these tips help you?
